The term, Lazy Susan, is used to describe a small, hand turned platform. It can take on many forms, the most common is in a kitchen. Many people put a glass lazy susan on their kitchen table to make it easy to reach condiments, napkins, and other things that might sit in the middle of the table, just out of reach.
If you are having trouble reaching things in your kitchen cabinets, a lazy susan will come to your rescue. It will help you make the most out of corner space. When closed a corner lazy susan seems like two cabinets at right angles to each other. Sometimes there will be a hinge in the middle and the door will swing out, revealing a multi-level lazy susan inside. With other types, when you push on the cabinet face, it spins and you see the shelves as they rotate. They are circular, except for the right angle cutout. You might also consider a roll out tray.
A partitioned glass lazy susan is a wonderful way to serve snacks, such as peanuts, celery, dip, etc. No need to reach across, just turn. You can also use it to display small items at a garage sale or such. It basically looks like a serving tray that spins.
A lazy susan turntable works well as storage for spices. You can have easy access to them in your cabinet. No more rummaging all around for a certain spice. You can either put a turntable on a normal shelf or you have the cabinet turned into a spice lazy susan.
