The term, Lazy Susan, is used to describe a small, hand turned platform. It can take on many forms, the most common is in a kitchen. The name Rubbermaid (tm) is well known and it has a good reputation. Many people will use a rubbermaid lazy susan on their kitchen table to make it easy to reach condiments, napkins, and other things that might sit in the middle of the table, just out of reach.
You can use them outside or inside. They are perfect for a cookout so you don't have to be worried about breaking glass. When they get dirty you can put them in the dishwasher without hesitation.
A partitioned lazy susan is a wonderful way to serve snacks, such as peanuts, celery, dip, etc. No need to reach across, just turn. You can also use it to display small items at a garage sale or such. It basically looks like a serving tray that spins.
You can use a Rubbermaid (tm) lazy susan to display spices. You can have easy access to them in your cabinet. No more rummaging all around for a certain spice. You can either put a turntable on a normal shelf or you have the cabinet turned into a spice lazy susan.
